Property Reviews

We happened across Le Bourg d′Oisans and this lovely property by chance. Our objective was to find last-minute accommodation to serve as a base to carry out some Col Bagging - anywhere in the Alps. It couldn′t have turned out better. The location is incredible, with so many famous Col′s on the doorstep - literally with regards to Alpe D′Huez. The car was not required for the whole week. Location close to shops, cafes and town centre - but very quiet and tucked away. Would we stay here again? Absolutely, without hesitation. Would we recommend it? Already have done - many times. We have found a new annual trip base-camp. A beautiful place to relax the mind and stress the legs! Thanks Ian, Andy.

We have experienced an outstanding stay in Bourg d’Oisans.
The friendly house was well decorated, located and a nice welcome after our activities.
All rooms have single beds and an own bathroom. Which is highly recommended staying with a group of
colleagues or friends. Its only a 2 minutes walk to town center.
We can assure you, you will not be disappointed!
The whole week was one never to forget, Alpe d’HuZes: always on our mind and in our heart.

Dear Helen and Phil,
Our holiday was a fantastic success. The accommodation was terrific and the location excellent. All seven of us really enjoyed the village and - of course - the cycling. We’ll definitely be coming back
Best,
Justin

Helen and Phil,
Anne and I very much enjoyed our stay and are already looking forward to next year! One thing new from our last stay was the addition of the satellite tv-we found that an enjoyable way to relax in the evening. I don′t know if it′s a French thing but the floor broom was not great. It requires a lot of work to get the floors swept daily. It′s a small thing but frustrating nevertheless. I really like the bike rack in the front. That is a great add since our last visit.

Dear Helen and Phil, Once again your accommodation met our expectations, as you know this is the third time we have rented this property from you this should say it all. A welcome addition was the T.V. and sofa bed so that parents and children could watch kids programmes early in the morning. Thank you for your quick return of the deposit. Once again many thanks Barbara

I just want to say thanks! We had a great time, and the house was perfect for our group. It really exceeded our expectations.
I wish you all the best and I will certainly recommend you to people I meet.

For the 4th year in a row I stayed here with a large group of cyclists.
The chalet is ideal for storing the bikes (garage), has 3 showers, 3 toilets, a big kitchen with a large tablesetting, a seperate livingroom and normal (not bunk) beds. It is very quiet, free parking within 50 meters and 100 meter from the center of the village.
On top of that the owners, especially Phil, provide the best service as it comes to biking in the area (guide is possible) and also when it comes to bikers stuff (PROMPT.CC SHOP). Phil showed us some really amazing routes which were sometimes 'linkable' with the well known ones like Alpe d'Huez.
On top of that they fixed my bike quickly when I had some problems so I didn't miss a day of riding on my bike (otherwise I would have rented one at PROMPT.CC).
Thank you Helen and Phil for all and hope to come back in the next years,

lovely warm comfortable house clean and well equipped for our family of 5 adults 2 boisterous children and 1 baby we even entertained our friends and their 2 children one evening. The washing machine was a great bonus Helen and Phil were very tolerant of our noisy family and on hand for any help we required. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would recommend the house and the area to others. We were able to access ski areas, huge supermarket and small local shops easily from the house and hopefully will return for more skiing in future years many thanks Barbara and family

Lovely and warm with lots of hot water for showers after a hard day out climbing. No real need for the woodburning stove but it made the place feel very cosy. Would have been a bit crowded downstairs with 8 people but was fine with the 6 we had for one evening meal when we invited 2 friends round.
Sounds like the planned improvements will mean lots more space downstairs for 8.
Front bedroom was very light at night due to streetlights, maybe blackout curtains would help for anyone who is a light sleeper.
However overall very impressive with great hospitality from Phil and Helen

our stay was enjoyable and had all we needed.
apart from enough hot water for showers so we ended up using other means.
also would be good to have some decent sized cloth storage areas such as wardrobes.
we would defiantly use the house again for our next visit!
