This is not so much one climb but a
group of climbs that we have put together and called the Traverse
d'Oisans.
As you look from our base in Bourg d'Oisans up towards
Alpe d'Huez you can see a small slither of a road somehow cut
into the mountainside. This is the Traverse d'Oisans and it
takes in the villages of Allemont, the switchback climb of
Villard Reculas, the partial descent of Alpe d'Huez, lunch
with our friends on bend 16 at La Garde en Oisans. After lunch
there is a further gentle climb up towards Auris before hitting
Freney d'Oisans. Depending on the tour that you are on we will
then be tackling the Col de Sarenne or Les Deux Alpes before
returning to Bourg d'Oisans. |
