About Us

Having stayed in Bourg d'Oisans for the first time in 2007 we enjoyed the scenery lifestyle and riding so much we thought a serious change in pace was in order and to work for ourselves doing something we love - enjoy oisans.

Phil has been riding bikes for as long as he can remember but started competing seriously in cyclo cross, time trials and road races events in the late 1980's for Bournemouth Arrows Cycling Club. Phil switched to mountain biking in the mid nineties and has now been mountain biking for over 10 years most of which has been with the Bigfoot Mountain bike club in Gloucestershire. He is a qualified mountain bike guide via the OTC in the UK and holds an emergency first aid certificate issued by the Rescue Emergency Care Scheme Guidelines. Phil has followed Road and Track cycling for years and spends a vast amount of time training on the roads on his Felt Road bike. He likes nothing more than a steep alpine mountain road climb to get his lungs and heart working to the max !

Helen has spent the last 12 years in and out of police cells and court rooms as a defence solicitor and now needs to see some light!  She has been riding bikes largely to see Phil for the last couple of years and entered her first event in November 2007.  Helen is also an ITEC qualified massage therapist, and holds an emergency first aid certificate issued by the Rescue Emergency Care Scheme Guidelines. She doesn't plan to do the Time Trial up Alpe d'Huez ever - but sorts out all our admin and lunches.
