Col du Galibier - Day 3

This giant of a climb to 2645 metres and the highest point of our tour was first used in the Tour de France in 1911, it has been used 31 times by the Tour de France since 1947. We will  climb from the north side - considered the harder of the two and descend the south side (stopping to see the monument to Henri Desgrange the first director of the Tour de France) to the Col du Lautaret before turning left for the 25km descent into Briançon
