Col de la Morte - Day 1

The Col de la Morte is a wooded mini Alpe d'Huez type climb. Its height gain is the same over the same distance but because it start 400 metres below Alpe d'Huez it's a great way to get acclimatised to the week ahead. Once on top of the Col in the Ski resort of the Alpe du Grande Sierre we will descend through picturesque alpine villages to the small market town of Valbonais. This is truly a magical start to the week with magical views and largely car free roads.
